The initial situation
As an energy-intensive company, reducing and optimizing energy costs is a top priority for H&R, especially in times of sharply rising costs. ecotec drew H&R's attention to the fact that the regulated grid costs for natural gas can be influenced by the individual company in certain cases. An initial analysis indicated considerable savings potential without the need for intervention in internal energy use or considerable effort on the customer side. ecotec then offered a non-binding analysis of the existing situation, combined with the guarantee that costs for the service would only be incurred in the event of success and could be fully financed from the savings.
Solution and result
The subsequent detailed inspection confirmed the savings potential at the Salzbergen site and met all the requirements for individual price optimization. The ecotec team of experts issued a clear recommendation for action, which H&R followed in all respects. By implementing the approach developed by ecotec and its many years of experience, H&R was able to fully realize the targeted optimization potential. This leads to recurring and increasing annual savings, which sustainably strengthens H&R's competitiveness.
